This is some information about our program and what things we have to offer for our youth. My name is Allan Goodman and I am a youth support worker here at Wachiay Friendship Centre. I am still basically a youth myself (19 years old). I am the assistant to Daryle Mills, Program Coordinator, and Colleen Young, Program Facilitator.
Here’s some things that we have to offer:
Fun for youth ages 13-24!
A safe environment, great staff and programs Including:
- Food safe
- First aid
- Rock climbing
- Swimming
- X-box
- Movie And Pizza Nights
- Entrepreneurship and leadership activities
These are the days which we operate and have activities:

Leader ship program will focus on Entrepreneurship, life skills,
outdoor education and recreational activities for ages 16-24. |
| Tuesday |
Recreational activities for 13-15 year olds. |
| Thursday |
Raven Back Youth drop in will offer workshops, Recreational
activities and meals for 13-24 years old. |
| Friday |
Pizza and movie night for 13-24 year olds. |
The Raven back youth centre is a fun and safe place for kids to come and Hangout; we have a number of life skills workshops, recreational activities and drop ins where we just hangout and play x-box, watch movies, eat pizza. All the kids that come to the program really enjoy being here. Our youth council is a very important part of the program, they plan meals and activities for the further months to come. They meet once a month for about an hour to discuss issues concerns and anything that is on their mind regarding the Raven Back Youth Centre. They have been fundraising recently for youth council hoodies that have designs that they, in fact, designed themselves. Shortly, in March, they are going to a youth conference in Kamloops to check out a number of workshops and further their knowledge about life’s issues and challenges, and to expand their minds and learn.
